What makes us different is that we’re not a distant software vendor — we’re based right here in Emu Park, Central Queensland. A Brief History and Timeline of RezExpert
From our early foundations in the 1980s to today’s global presence, here are the key milestones that shaped RezExpert into the platform it is today.
1985 – Early Foundations
- Hospitality Computer Systems is founded, laying the groundwork for what will later become DigitalRez Australia.
1992 – RezExpert Origins
- DigitalRez International is established in British Columbia, Canada, to develop innovative reservation management software.
1995 – North American Expansion
- DigitalRez Software Canada is formed, delivering solutions to the North American camping and hospitality markets.
2000 – International Consolidation
- DigitalRez International is incorporated in Barbados, supporting web development, international sales, and application support.
2001 – Launch of DigitalRez Australia
- Hospitality Computer Systems partners with DigitalRez International to form DigitalRez Australia (DRA).
- Based in Emu Park, Queensland, DRA begins supporting caravan parks, national parks, and accommodation providers across Australasia.
2004 – National Parks Partnership
New South Wales National Parks & Wildlife Service implements RezExpert for its campgrounds and accommodation network.
This partnership continues to expand and evolve to this day.
2009 – Cloud Innovation
- RezExpert becomes the first SaaS reservation system hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- This move cements RezExpert’s reputation for innovation and reliability.
2012 – Customised National Park Systems
DigitalRez Australia develops and maintains a locally hosted Central Reservation System for NSW National Parks, supporting 130+ campgrounds and properties.
2014 – 99.99% Uptime Achieved
RezExpert consistently delivers over 99.99% availability for its SaaS clients, a benchmark of trust and reliability.
Today – A Global Platform
